The Iowa is a historic Beaux Arts-style building located on the corner of 13th and O Streets, Northwest, just south of Logan Circle. At the time of its construction in 1901, The Iowa was named for Iowa Circle, now known as Logan Circle. In fact, many of the 97 residences in the 7-story building feature views of the historic circle.
The complex consists of a Tower building, built in 1901 and a group of townhomes built around a central courtyard and garden. These units were constructed in 1979 at the same time the Tower was renovated.
